Scope and contact

This policy is provided by codingiran, the developer of Insomio. It covers the Insomio macOS app, this website, and support or privacy correspondence you choose to send. Contact: codingiran@gmail.com.

Data handled by the app

Insomio stores preferences on your Mac, including your default duration, display-sleep options, and keyboard shortcut. It reads system sleep, wake, and power-source events to manage awake sessions. The sleep-prevention feature does not transmit these preferences or events to the developer.

The app requires no account and does not collect browsing history, file contents, location, or contacts. It does not send usage analytics or crash reports to the developer through the app. Quitting ends the active awake session; local preferences may remain stored by macOS and can be changed in Settings.

Updates and distribution

The Mac App Store version updates through Apple and does not include Sparkle. Store downloads, purchases, and Apple’s own diagnostic services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

The direct-download build integrates Sparkle, but its update service is not configured yet. Before enabling it, we will update this policy to describe request destinations, technical information, and log handling. We will also describe download-server data handling before making installers available.

Visiting this website

This site is hosted by Cloudflare. We have not added visitor analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, or tracking cookies. To deliver pages and protect the service, Cloudflare may process network data such as IP addresses, browser request headers, access times, and security logs. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Support correspondence

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use them only to respond, troubleshoot, and handle privacy requests. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary personal information. Our email provider processes correspondence; see Google’s privacy policy.

We retain correspondence only as needed to resolve your request and provide necessary follow-up support, or as required by applicable law. You may email us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

Policy changes

If data handling in the app, website, or update service changes, we will update this page and its date. We will also update the relevant in-app disclosures before enabling new data collection.
